White raring to go

NEW boy Aidy White says he can't wait to get started with the Millers.

The left-sided player became Steve Evans' first signing of the summer today when he joined from Leeds United.

The move takes the 23-year-old away from his boyhood club but he is looking forward to getting back into real action after a season hampered by injury.

White told the Advertiser: "Rotherham is a great move for me and a great place to get my career back on track and get back to playing week in and week out.

"There were three or four other Championship teams interested but I spoke to the manager and the players I knew here and they all spoke highly of the club."

Equally adept at left-back and in a more advanced midfield role, White came on as a substitute against the Millers for Leeds at Elland Road in the final game of last season.
