We're raring to go, says Warnock

MILLERS boss Neil Warnock says his players can use the international break to their advantage when they resume their Championship relegation scrap this weekend.

The two-week lay-off came as the team was enjoying its best run of the season, capped by a 1-0 success at Ipswich Town last time out, and they'll be gunning for a fifth victory in six at the expense of Yorkshire rivals Leeds United tomorrow.

But rather than it interrupting the flow, Warnock says the break should do the players good.

"It came at a good time, I was tired as well," he told the Advertiser. "The players all know what I want from them now and we've managed to give them a breather because they've not had one in quite a while. I just felt if we could have a few days off then they would come back and be raring to go and that's been the case."

Leeds look all but safe under Steve Evans, making his first return to Rotherham as a manager since leaving the club last September.

Warnock himself managed Leeds from 2012/13 when Ken Bates was in charge of the club and he knows what to expect at a packed NYS.

"It's a great club, and my one regret there was not having any money from the sale of Robert Snodgrass (to Norwich) to try and improve the squad. I thought we weren't far away," he added.

"I played against Leeds early in the season when I was at QPR and that was a great atmosphere because they filled their end and it will be the same this time."
