Welsh warning to Titans

ROTHERHAM have been fired a warning by London Welsh in the build-up to Wednesday's game at Clifton Lane.

The Exiles were hammered 44-14 at Bedford on Saturday and Welsh lock Matt Corker is determined to see his side bounce back against the Titans, as Welsh seek a fourth straight win on Rotherham soil.

Corker has played in all three  victoriesat the Lane  and despite the Dragons coming out on top 39-10 when the sides met at Old Deer Park earlier in the season, he’s under no illusions as to the size of the challenge that the Exiles face.

The Cornish Pirates’ 19-18 defeat at Rotherham was a timely reminder, if any were needed, of what a tough place Clifton Lane is to get a result.

“Rotherham is a massive game for us, we’ve got to go up there and get something. They’re having a good season and they’re not going to roll over,” said Corker.

“They’ve never been easy wins, but a couple of those have definitely coincided with us coming together, playing well and playing a bit more to our patterns. Hopefully that will follow and we’ll go up there and do the same."

Start time on Wednesday  is 2pm.

Titans' development side lost 21-12 at Pontypridd on Saturday in the British and Irish Cup.
