We were poor, says Titans' chief

TITANS can expect a hard week at the office ahead of next weekend's toughie at London Scottish, following the grim 27-6 defeat at the hands of Jersey.

Coach Mark Jones says he was shocked by his side's punchless display as they shipped four unanswered tries against the Islanders to derail the Clifton Lane top-four hopes.

“I’m not surprised by the quality of performance from Jersey because we knew they were a massive threat, but what I am surprised at is how poor we were," he said afterwards..

"It was just one of those days where nothing functions for you. I’m sure when we review the game there will be plenty of technical and tactical issues to address, but we have to concede we came second best in most aspects of the game."

Rotherham, in their worst home peformance for years, could only muster two penalties, trailing 22-6 at the break and rarely threatening the visitors' try line.
