Walsall striker on radar

ROTHERHAM United are ready to break the bank to bring Walsall's Tom Bradshaw to the AESSEAL New York Stadium.

They are waiting to hear back on an offer well in excess of the current record, the £400,000 paid for Jonson Clarke-Harris.

The latest bid is well into six figures and may even approach the £1 million mark.

Saddlers boss Jon Whitney has told clubs to stump up serious offers if they want his star player.

One of the brightest young forwards in the lower divisions, Bradshaw (23) scored 22 goals in 50 appearances last season.

While refusing to be drawn on the subject of his bid, Alan Stubbs told the Advertiser: “I have said we want to add quality to the quality already here and I think this offer reflects that.”
