The former Jersey and Ealing man, still only 24, heads up a new and youthful team that is quickly getting to grips with National One. The spirit in the camp was plain to see at Esher last Saturday as every crunching tackle and turn-over was applauded from the bench as Rotherham closed out a resounding win.

“We have teenagers in the team, it is a very young squad,” acknowledged Seb. “It speaks volumes for the boys that we have and the character they have that such young guys can build and be so clinical. It is great for the club too that these lads are going to be around for a while and are at the beginning of their career.

“You have a lot of guys the same age and going through the same stage of their careers. I think everyone is bonding in that sense and it is great to see, it has definitely been helping.

“With it being such a new team, we always knew that it was going to be hard for the first few games but we’ve consolidated well and we keep planning to move forward, strengthen the team and get better with time. We can only focus on this week and hope that keeps building.”

Last weekend’s 45-15 victory was achieved after a long and arduous trip down to Esher.

Touchdown...for Alex Dolly at Esher.

“We couldn’t ask more from the boys, it was our first long away trip and that is a big factor,” said Nagle-Taylor, who scored two tries and had a hand in a couple of others. “A five-hour bus journey is no small feat to overcome so l was really proud of the boys to set off from the get-go and be clinical and got some points early doors.

“I had the luck of the bounce for one try and then Alex Dolly heard my shout for the other.” They were set up by team-mates and it’s a team performance, so I was really happy with it.”

Titans look to continue their winning run at home to Plymouth Albion today (2pm).

They have named the same squad of 20 that were on duty at Esher.
