Woodhouse cards another win

CURTIS Woodhouse took another stride towards an English title with a four-round demolition of Polish big-hitter Maurycy Gojko.

The 32-year-old from Gilwice was an 11th hour replacement for Steve Saville, who couldn't make the light-welterweight cut.

Woodhouse was never troubled in the four rounds that were completed. He took the first three, albeit after a tentative start, and it was a punishing assault in the third which left the writing on the wall. An explosive combination in the fourth saw Gojko wilt to the canvas and he failed to make the count.
