Women's team in SOS plea

A WOMEN'S football club is appealing for help as they look to keep the club running.

Rotherham United Ladies are a high-profile non-profit community organisation based in Rotherham but forced to train in Worksop.

Many players leaving due to struggles with travel arrangements and now the club has put out an SOS plea for funding.

Marketing manager Caroline Stokes said: "We are struggling to secure funding for kits, transport, equipment and stationary.

"We are looking for companies or individuals to help by providing funding to supply the team with kits, equipment and stationary.

"We would greatly appreciate any kind of help, whether it be through donations for raffles prizes, sponsorship or providing transport. Other suggestions would be welcome.

"Anyone kind enough to help us and volunteer their services could have their details on both the team website, my own work website and my partners' website along with on uniforms and stationery."

Anyone interested in finding out can get in touch with Caroline through the websites  www.stokes-intl-sports-school.co.uk, www.1st-2-find.co.uk or visit the official Rotherham United Ladies website at www.rulfc.co.uk
