Wigan Athletic "deny knowledge" of Alan Stubbs link
Stubbs' solicitor, Mr Frank Rogers, told Sheffield Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, during a hearing for speeding offences, he would not name the club Stubbs had been interviewed by but said it was a "Lancashire-based club relegated to the old third division" and he was likely to start with them by June 1.
This could refer to the Latics, who are second bottom in the Championship and have been relegated to League One.
