ROTHERHAM United duo Richard Wood and Ryan Manning have won their battle to be fit for tomorrow night's Championship clash at leaders Middlesbrough.

Centre-half Wood and midfielder Manning have overcome calf and knee problems respectively as the Millers, who drew 1-1 at home to Bolton Wanderers last Saturday, go in search of their first away points of the season against Tony Pulis's table-toppers.

However, right-back Billy Jones is almost certain to miss the encounter at the Riverside Stadium, which marks manager Paul Warne's 100th match in charge, and winger Jon Taylor remains a majot doubt.

"Woody's calves were tightening up during the Bolton game. He hadn't played for a few weeks. He's fit for tomorrow night," Warne said.

"Ryan should be fine for inclusion. That's positive news."

Hamstring victim Jones has been preferred to Zak Vyner in recent games but Rotherham will take no risks with the former Premier League man's fitness, while they are monitoring Taylor's knee condition.

Both players had to be substituted in the Trotters encounter which left the Millers in 20th spot, two points clear of the relegation zone.

"Jonesy felt his hammy after 20 minutes," Warne said. "We have a low-risk policy at this club. If they're not feeling right, they come off.

"There's no point him ripping off his hamstring and being out for six weeks. I think Middlesbrough is 24 hours too soon for him. On the physio bed, he has got no symptoms. It's just a risk. I don't think he will be available.

"Tayls is 50:50. He's pain-free and the swelling has gone down in his knee, but Tayls is one of those players who if he plays has to be 10 out of 10 physically because his game is all about energy.

"I'm hopeful about him, but I won't be sure until I speak to the physios about him in the morning."
