Wembley coach rip-off warning

WEMBLEY-bound fans are paying through the teeth to attend Sunday’s play-off final after coach companies attempted to cash in.

Pete Bradford, who organises the transport for the Rotherham United Supporters Club, said he wanted to worn other fans of price hikes by some firms.

“When we went to the Dagenham game earlier in the season the coach cost us £670,” he said. “But when we came to book with the same firm for our trip to Wembley one coach company came back with a price of £1,450.”

Pete eventually managed to book a coach for almost half of the initial quote he received but feared that some fans, who were unaware of the prices they should be paying, might fall victim to inflated prices.
