We need to be tough: Bester

ANDRE Bester is expected to make several changes to his Titans’ side as they go head-to-head with Premiership hopefuls Worcester tomorrow, saying: “We have to have mental toughness.”

He missed last wet1ek’s heavy 37-10 defeat at Bedford with wife Susan giving birth to baby Dreya but scrutinised the match video, prompting his decision to revamp the team, particularly the pack.

Bester was alarmed at some of the errors and decision making which led to Rotherham shipping six tries at Goldington Road. He will name the team this morning and there could be surprise omissions for some players.

Said Bester: “A lot of the problems at Bedford were self-inflicted and down to a lack of defensive organisation and poor performances from some players.

“I need them to be mentally tough. If they show that they aren’t then some players will be leaving."
