We can still do it says Millers chief

Eight points shy of the automatic promotion frame with only three games remaining, the Millers know they need nothing less than maximum points to give them any chance of catching third-placed Bournemouth.

The Cherries go to Burton Albion tomorrow while fourth-placed Rotherham visit struggling Barnet, where they have lost on their last four visits.

And Moore reckons that if his side can lay their Underhill bogey to rest, automatic promotion could still be on come 5pm tomorrow.

He said: "Eight points is a big gap to claw back at this stage but stranger things have happened.

"If we win tomorrow and Bournemouth lose then all of a sudden the pressure is back on them. They've got to play Port Vale and Chesterfield in their last two games who have both got plenty to play for and will make it tough.

"What we've got to do is give ourselves a chance.

"We've kept clean sheets in our last two matches and if we keep three more then I think we'll be in the play-offs because somewhere along the line we will get a win.

"A lot of teams would like to be in the position we are. The players have trained really hard this week. Their attitude has been brilliant and now they've got to go out and do it."

"There's no gimmies in our league. No team in the top seven has won at Barnet this season—they're decent on their own patch and they've got pace all over the park.

"If you can't get up for games like this, you shouldn't be playing."

Moore said he was unlikely to make major changes from the side held to a frustrating goalless draw by Cheltenham last Saturday.

Striker Drewe Broughton will travel with the squad this weekend having recovered from the virus which kept him out against Cheltenham.
