Warne's delight over new men

MILLERS boss Paul Warne says he'd delighted with the double capture of Sean Raggett and Marek Rodak.

Both signed in at the AESSEAL New York Stadium yesterday and played parts in the 2-1 victory over Cardiff City.

Tough-guy Raggett (pictured) joined from Norwich, having spent last season on loan at Lincoln, while Rodak was released by Fulham just two hours before Wednesday's friendly and was thrown straight into the team, keeping a second half clean sheet after he came on to replace Lewis Price.

Said Warne: "I tried to sign Sean in the transfer window and I've seen him play a few times.

"He's quintessentially a Rotherham player in my opinion, a centre-half who is brave and not afraid to put his head through it.

"Obviously Marek was my no.1 target and the lads love him, as do the coaching staff. He was top of our list but because of the World Cup everything was delayed and postponed,

"Fulham had to get someone in and they were patient with us because we kept phoning them every 20 minutes but they were keen for him to come here again because they know there's a good chance of him playing as part of his development."

Both will feature in Saturday's final friendly against Mansfield Town at Field Mill.
