Warne salutes battling win at Barnet

Kevin Ellison's 34th minute strike sealed a 1-0 win as Ronnie Moore's side dominated their struggling opponents, hitting the post twice.

Warne, who made his comeback as a second-half substitute after five months out with a broken leg, said: "They've not lost to a top seven side at home all season, so it was a good result although it was a little bit more nervy than it should have been.

"Whatever level you're at, it's not cut and dried at 1-0 and it only needs one attempt on goal and it can be level again but we defended well and I thought Lynchy (Mark Lynch) and Kev (Ellison) were outstanding."

Despite the victory, the Millers will have to content themselves with a place in the play-offs because Bournemouth won to seal the third and final automatic promotion place.

One more win will guarantee an appearance in the end-of-season shoot-out and Rotherham will hope to clinch it at home to mid-table Crewe on Saturday. The regular season ends with a trip to Hereford on Saturday week.

"In all honesty, I didn't think we'd catch Bournemouth anyway," added Warne.
