Video: Nissan fronts-up to endurance rivals

CONVENTION dictates that modern racing cars have to be mid-or-rear engine and, at the very least, rear-wheel-drive.

Why, then, did Nissan assume the same front-engined, front-wheel-drive layout as the average hatchback would bring them success in the World Endurance Championships and 24 Hours of Le Mans?
