ROTHERHAM Town are gearing up for the new Yorkshire League season by participating in the NatWest Cricket Force project, with the aim of sprucing up Clifton Lane.
Town, along with members from Rotherham Rugby Club, will brandish the paint brushes on Sunday, April 18—and they are calling on local sports fans to join in and play their part.
Cricket Force is a project aimed at encouraging cricket supporters, along with friends and families, to give something back to their community clubs by volunteering to undertake renovations to clubhouses and the facilities at grounds.
The idea is to rejuvenate clubs and forge links between clubs and spectators. It has already been a big success at clubs in the Rotherham area.
The event will be between 10am and noon and Llite Training have sponsored the day, by donating tools and equipment.
Meanwhile, junior indoor training has started on Friday evenings at Thrybergh School.
Sessions for the U9s are between 4pm-5pm and U13s take part between 5-6pm. There are qualified coaches and further details are available from 07968 216659
