Top girls cricketers in town
SOME of the country’s top girl cricketers fought out the Universities Knockout Cup - in Rotherham.
Leeds Met ended Loughborough’s eight year winning streak in the competition when they won by 25 runs at Bawtry Road.
Leeds started with 177-9 from their 50 overs with Loughborough dismissed for 152 in reply.
The game was played at the Brinsworth ground after being selected by Universities Cricket officials as the best possible neutral venue..
