HARRIER Natalie Grant has set her sights on more success after a history-making win in the weekend’s Northern Cross Country Championship.

The Kimberworth ace crossed the line to take to title at Blackburn’s Witton Park to notch the Herringthorpe club’s first success in the event for ten years.

And after the race Grant said: "Crossing the line was an amazing feeling—and I’m determined I want more of that!

“There's a lot more to come from me and now I’m moving up to the senior ranks I intend to train even harder and get leaner and meaner.

“I felt easy early on and the race went to plan other than losing the lead on the steep downhill section."

In 1998, Dave Tune won the men's title and prior to that it is unsure if there have been any other Rotherham winners.

Nineteen-year-old Grant was competing in the under 20s age group for the last time and, having finished sixth last year, was in determined mood to make it count this time around.
