Titans take big guns to the wire

SKIPPER Joe Bedford paid tribute to his Titans side after giving moneybags Worcester the biggest scare they’re likely to get at their plush Sixways home this season.

The relegated Premiership side sneaked home 32-25 in a thundering game but only after getting out of jail in the final ten minutes.

Rotherham had deservedly led 25-22 before the hosts went in front with a converted try and sealed the win with an added late penalty.

Bedford was adamant that Rotherham were the better team on the day.

He said: “Despite all the odds we came here and we took them all the way. We were the better team and deserved to win it - the lads were magnificent.”

Despite the defeat, Titans did claim a bonus point and now have nine points from their opening three games.
