Titans stride towards safety

ROTHERHAM Titans will survive in the Championship for another season after Saturday’s 33-20 win over Birmingham and Solihull.

The victory means Titans can mathematically still be caught in the battle to avoid the drop, but head coach Craig West will this week begin planning for next term after his side’s third five-point win in the basement play-offs.

Tries from Ryan Burrows, Andrew Henderson, Brad Hunt, Kevin Maggs and a penalty try gave Titans a comfortable win against the Bees.

Said West: “We’re delighted with the win after a good all-round performance from the lads.

“We should be safe now and can start looking ahead to next season in this division.”
Titans are away to Birmingham in Saturday’s fourth group game.
