Titans ring changes for cup clash

TITANS have rung the changes for Saturday’s British and Irish Cup opener at home to Birmingham.

Only three of the side which started against Doncaster will play: Gregor Hayter, Sam Dickinson and Jonny West. The incoming players are  from the second team and academy.

But the game will see a return to action for Jon Skurr after spending several weeks on the injured list. He joins Dickinson and Ryan Burrows in the back row.

Full debuts will be handed to Ben Harris, PJ Gidlow and Ben Coulbeck in the first of the new competition’s group games.

Said head coach Craig West: “Obviously we want to win the game, but we do have to rest some players after a tough few months and it gives us the chance to take a look at others.”
