Titans make sure of safety

ROTHERHAM Titans have made certain of their place in next year's Championship after a four-try beating of drop rivals Birmingham.

Sunday's game saw them ease home 29-19 in the midlands thanks to a penalty try, plus scores from Andrew Henderson, Ryan Burrows and Nick Buckley.

Afterwards, coach Craig West praised his players for their efforts.

"We did what we had to do against a side which can cause a lot of problems," he said. "The lads were all up for it and wanted to prove a few points, which they did."

In a game which mirrored the previous week's 33-20 win at Clifton Lane, Bees were made to pay for two yellow cards, which saw them ship 19 vital points while down in numbers.

Rotherham now have 20 points to lead the minitable at the bottom and can't be caught by either this Saturday's opponents Moseley or Coventry.
