Titans delighted with deals

TITANS are poised to announce a clutch of major signings as they piece together a new-look squad for next season’s Championship assault.

And they have already signed deals with three of last season’s best players.

Ryan Burrows, Sam Dickinson and player of the year Matt Challinor have all agreed terms—Challinor turning down a lucrative offer from another club to stay at Clifton Lane.

They will form the business end of Andre Bester’s side alongside players already on contracts, such as Nick Buckley and Brad Hunt.

Senior Lane director Martin Jenkinson told the Advertiser he’s delighted with the way the squad is shaping up, with the promise of some quality acquisitions in the next few weeks.

“We’re extremely pleased to have signed three of the best young players from last season because they are important parts of the future of the club,” he said.

“We are talking to several others—some who have been playing in the Premiership—and hopefully we can conclude deals as soon as possible. The squad is shaping up nicely and we’re already looking ahead to the new season.”
