Rotherham were hamstrung by losing key pack men such as Ross Batty and Tinus Du Plessis - but after a hard-hewn performance they came out on top.

Titans led 11-0 at half time thnaks to two Jonny West penalties and a Gregor Hayter try and worked their socks off to survive a second half fightback which only yielded a penalty try for the Knights.

Said Whitehead: "I thought the lads were magnificent, right down the line.

"Everyone worked really hard and I think we deserved the win."
