Tinus signs off with Titans
BIG Tinus Du Plessis signed off his Clifton Lane career in Saturday’s thumping win at Coventry–but the inflential back rower won’t have much time to sit down and take a breather.
Du Plessis will get just a couple of weeks off before heading back to Namibia, where he will join his country’s World Cup squad as the build-up begins to next season’s competition.
He said: “I won’t get much of a break because I’m straight back into playing back home. But it is something I’m looking forward to and the World Cup will be special.
“That’s obviously why I’m leaving the club and I will be sorry to go.
“But I want to concentrate on my commitments with the Namibian team and maybe I’ll come back to England one day.”
