Time for Millers to find form again

MANAGER Steve Evans is asking Rotherham United to rediscover their early-season form, starting at the New York Stadium this weekend.

Without a win in four league games, they take on Colchester United knowing that three points could put them back into the play-off frame in League One.

It's also an opportunity to correct a run of three home games without a victory and Evans knows that if they are to do that, they are going to have to start capping their good football with more goals.

He told the Advertiser: "For all the outstanding football we've been playing, we need to start winning football matches again.

"We have a strong squad but you don't have to be a football coach to realise what part of the product has been missing. If we had someone to put the ball in the net, we'd be second or third but let's get this straight, this is not a Rotherham United team that's struggling. This is a Rotherham United team that is only a couple of points off the play-offs and the progress over the last 15 months has been incredible.

"What we need to do is get back to our early-season results and if we do then we will be in the leading group."

Claude Davis is still some way from a return from a hamstring injury while winger David Worrall (groin) also needs more time.
