Swallows dip in League Cup semi-final

SWALLOWNEST missed out on a place in the North Counties East League Cup final last night.

Playing away to Premier Division Liversedge in the semi-final, the Swallows went behind to a 38th minute goal from Danny Farrar and despite their best efforts, they couldn't force an equaliser.

Liversedge go on to meet NCEL champions Worksop Town in final after they won 2-0 at Hemsworth MW.

Meanwhile, Joker play Plough in the final of the Rotherham Association Cup at Parkgate tonight in a meeting of two sides from the Rotherham Sunday League Premier Division.

Kick-off is 7.15pm and we'll have a report and pictures in Friday's Advertiser.
