THIS weekend’s local sporting programme has been severely hit by the weather.

In amateur football, the Northern Counties East League games involving Parkgate, Maltby Main and Swallowest have all been called off.

Phoenix’s match at home to Retford in the Central Midlands League has also been postponed.

In rugby, Dinnington’s trip to West Leeds and Wath’s match at Pontefract are both off. All Rotherham Council outside sports pitches are also closed.

Keep an eye on individual social media channels and websites for further updates.

Rotherham United’s League One fixture at Gillingham and Rotherham Titans’ trip to Ealing in the rugby Championship were both early victims of the snow.
