Sharps plays it cool over Wembley

MILLERS skipper Ian Sharps is trying to keep his team-mates grounded as the clock ticks down to Wembley.

Amid the furore of the club's first trip there in 14 years, it is easy for players to forget that there is a game—and promotion to League One—to be won.

Sharps has suffered play-off agony before when he missed a penalty in a League One semi-final shoot-out for Tranmere against Hartlepool five years ago.

Rovers stayed down and this time the Millers captain is determined to make amends.

"I don't think motivation will be a problem this weekend," he said. "The main thing is keeping people's feet on the floor and focused on what the job is.

"First and foremost, we need to make sure we go out on Sunday and perform to the best of our ability and hopefully that will be good enough."

Fans are reminded that the deadline for ticket bookings has been extended to 10pm on Friday.
