Scene set for Rotherham Town's Cricket World Cup fun day

ROTHERHAM Town Cricket Club are hosting a Cricket World Cup Family Day tomorrow.

An U9s cricket festival featuring clubs from around South Yorkshire will be at the centre of the day which will also see a funfair a host of stalls and a BBQ.

The event starts at 1pm with the cricket beginning at 2pm.

Town assistant club secretary Richard Fidler said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming people to the club to have a few drinks, some food and enjoy the cricket.

“It’s a great summer of international cricket with the World Cup in England and the Ashes so there is a lot of interest in the sport.

“Hopefully the weather is kind to us and we have a great day.”
