Rotherham Wheelers cyclists hit the road in fight against Motor Neurone Disease

ROTHERHAM Wheelers Cycling Club members are getting stuck into a marathon ride to raise money for Motor Neurone Disease research.

Part  of the club's centenary celebrations, a group of riders are cycling 70km every day for seven days to raise £777 for the MND Association. They started yesterday and finish on July 7.

It is a challenge set by the ex-Leeds Rhino and England player Rob Burrow, who is fighting the disease.

One of the Wheelers' members lost his son to MND and tomorrow's ride will be the fifth anniversary of his passing. He was 35 years old with a wife and two very small children.
