Rotherham United play-off final

MILLERS chairman Tony Stewart’s war cry ahead of today’s Wembley showdown was simple: “Let’s rise to the occasion.”

As thousands of Rotherham United fans make their way to London, only Dagenham & Redbridge stand in the way of League One football next season.

Ronnie Moore’s men beat the Daggers twice on the way to fifth place in League Two, but he has warned that it will count for nothing unless the result goes the right way in today’s Play-Off Final.

It is only the club's second ever outing at the national stadium, following their triumph in the Auto Windscreens Shield in 1996.

A GOOD smount of noise from both ends. Couple of early chances go Dagenham's way, but nothing to really threaten either keeper yet.

3. 30pm ROTHERHAM enjoyed a ten-minute purple patch during which they got on the ball and pushed the Daggers back. Two notable chances, both headers from a lively Taylor.

The opposition respond with a great chance - overhead kick from Vincelot, which keeper Warrington did well to save.

3.35pm SUPERB save from Warrington from Dagenham free-kick, about 20 yeard out, taken sweetly by Danny Green. Millers' captain Ian Sharps booked for a foul.

Cross from the left from McCrory, Benson collected just inside the box, turned on the spot and shot past Warrington.

Crowd erupts as Ryan Taylor heads in from an Ellison cross within 30 seconds of the restart. Dagenham caught cold and the Millers level.

No changes at half time. The Millers now shooting towards their own fans.

The Daggers' pressure eventually pays off. A strike from Danny Green from just inside the 18-yard box down the right, goes across the face of Warrington and hits the back of the net.

Chance for Rotherham goes begging. Cross from Lynch from the right, goes across goal and to Harrison, who hits it into the ground and hits the bar.

A strong, low finish past D&R keeper Roberts, after first taking a touch to set up his shot from Nicky Law's low cross from the byline.

Third goal for Daggers comes courtesy of a corner from the right. Jon Nurse hit low towards goal, and the ball took a deflection off Ellison on its way into the net.

Rotherham bring on Marcus Marshall for Pablo Mills. The Millers looking increasingly stretched as they search for a third equaliser with 13 minutes remaining.
