ROTHERHAM United are reported to be close to sealing a deal for Plymouth Argyle striker Freddie Ladapo.
The 26-year-old is being chased by a clutch of clubs after bagging 18 goals for Argyle last season.
The Advertiser understands a £500,000 fee for the forward has been agreed and personal terms are close to being finalised.
League One rivals Sunderland and Portsmouth have also been interested in Ladapo, who has spent time at Crystal Palace, Oldham Athletic, Shrewsbury Town and Southend United, but the Millers are now at the front of the queue.
He moved to Home Park on a free transfer last summer.
