Rotherham Titans pair return to boost numbers

ROTHERHAM Titans expect to be firing on all cylinders when they return to National One action next week.

Second row Daniel Preston-Routledge and wing Dan Leake are scheduled to return to training after a month out injured and will be both available for the visit of Cambridge.

They will bolster a squad which could soon be supplemented by a couple of new faces. Efforts continue to tie up deals for two pack men from New Zealand.

Titans sit fifth in the table, four points off top spot, after seeing their five-match winning streak ended by Ampthill last week.

Head coach Joe Barker said: “Preston-Routledge and Leake are both good lads who did well in the opening weeks of the season and it will be good to have them back with us.

“We’ll step up up our preparations for the Cambridge game next week. They’ve put in some good performances against some strong teams and it is not going to be easy but that goes for every game in this league.”
