ROTHERHAM Titans scored three late tries to claim a losing bonus point at National One leaders Richmond and help their relegation fight.
Titans went down 52-20 after trailing 45-5 at half time, their four tries in total ensuring some reward from the trip to London as nearest rivals Birmingam Moseley emerged empty-handed from a 31-19 defeat to second-placed Rosslyn Park.
The gap between the two teams has been trimmed to 11 points with eight games to go, strating with Saturday's local derby at home to second-bottom Hull Ionians. Moseley are away to Sale FC.
Chasing a ninth successive win, Richmond ran in six tries in the first half, with wing Ben Robbins' score the only response.
Titans' set piece improved after the break and two tries from Jamie Cooke got them to within touching distance of a four-try bonus point which arrived in the dying moments when Sam Allan squeezed over in the corner from a scrum.
