EXPERIENCED Anthony Maka says Rotherham Titans will have to keep their mistakes to an absolute minimum if they're to get some reward from tomorrow's trip to Rams.
The Reading based outfit are one of the most accomplished sides in National One, a tight, physical unit who have made light of their first year in National One.
Promoted up last season, they have won 16 of their 22 games, including a 28-16 win at Clifton Lane in November when they ran in four tries.
“Rams managed to score a few tries off our mistakes that day,” remembers Maka. “We felt we played well but gave them some easy scores. They're a strong team and to go to their ground is hard but it will be a good challenge for us.”
While Titans make the trip down to the Old Bath Road ground at Sonning, on the outskirts of Reading, relegation rivals Birmingham Moseley have a tricky home game against Plymouth.
By the end of the day, Rotherham will hope to have chipped into the six-point lead the Midlanders hold over them.
“Looking at our recent games, we've been taking bonus points from all of them,” added Maka. “We beat Hull Ionians last time out and we need to build on it. We still have a lot of work to do but it's just about accumulating those points and moving forward.”
Kick-off is 3pm.
