Rotherham Soccer Aid nets bumper charity total

A SECOND Soccer Aid kickabout netted another healthy total for charity.

Friends kicked off at Thomas Rotherham College in aid of The Children’s Hospital Charity.

In the end, Sporting Paraiso FC XI triumphed 14-3 over the The Love Bugs FC.

But the big winners on the day were the children’s charity, which will pocket £500 from entry fees and raffle ticket sales.

Co-organiser Richard Banks said: “The game followed from the first game four years ago, which raised £765 for the same cause. We hope to make it a biannual event.”
