Ronnie left stunned by goals feast

RONNIE Moore has confessed that he didn't enjoy Saturday's ten-goal extravaganza at Don Valley Stadium.

Rotherham United came back from 3-1 down to beat Cheltenham 6-4, with Adam Le Fondre scoring four times.

Millers manager Moore said: "It was a great game to watch but it certainly wasn't a great game for me to watch.

"I have not seen anything like that before and I don't want to again because as a manager there is nothing worse. You can't defend the way we defended. It was unacceptable.

"Having said that we showed a lot of spirit and got the goals at the right time."

Le Fondre struck his first on 16 minutes to wipe out Jeff Goulding's fourth minute opener.

The visitors then took the initiative with two goals in eight minutes from Wayne Thomas and substitute Shaun Jeffers before Danny Harrison's delicate finish got the Millers back in at 3-2 down at half time.

Le Fondre had a penalty saved two minutes after the restart but tucked away the rebound to make it 3-3.

He completed his first ever hat-trick for Rotherham to make it 4-3 two minutes later and then Ryan Cresswell's 55th minute header and a fourth from Le Fondre had Rotherham 6-3 up.

There was still time for Thomas to plant a weak 69th minute penalty straight at Andy Warrington and Keith Lowe to head in for a corner to make it 6-4.

It was the first 6-4 home win for the Millers since September 1965 against Cardiff City.

Sitting third in League Two after three games, they are next in action on Saturday away to Hereford United.
