Ronnie fuming at dodgy defending

MILLERS chief Ronnie Moore says he will not tolerate any more of the kamikaze defending that has blighted the team's last two home league games.

Having conceded four goals at home to Cheltenham three weeks ago, Rotherham surrendered a 3-0 lead at home to Burton Albion on Saturday to draw 3-3.

Moore said all three goals were avoidable and were a result of the team defending too deep.

He said: "We defended far too deep and invited them on and got nervous.

"We needed to hold a high line and our goalkeeper Andy Warrington needed to be off his line to help us out. We did the wrong things and that allowed Burton back into the game.

"Last year we defended too deep and we can't go back to that. I have told the players I am not having it."

The result leaves Rotherham fifth in League Two, a couple of points behind early leaders Torquay.

Next match is Barnet away on Saturday.
