Rivals braced for cricket final
THE first silverware of the local cricket season will be handed out next week when Tickhill take on Metro in the final of the Advertiser Cup
The Merryweathers Midweek League rivals clash at Clifton Lane on Monday 6.15pm, with both aiming to win the trophy for the first time.
Metro were runners-up in 2005 while Tickhill's previous two appearances in the final both ended in defeats, to Ulley in 2003 and Wickersley in 2006.
Tickhill comfortably beat MCC to reach this year's final.
