Redfearn notches first win as Millers boss over old team Leeds

NEIL Redfearn notched his first win as Millers boss on a magnificent afternoon at Elland Road.

Joe Newell’s 54th minute header separated the sides as Rotherham got one over on their old boss Steve Evans who is now in charge of Leeds united.

Both teams finished the match with 10 men after debutant Leon Best and Leeds’ Gaetano Berardi were sent off after a clash in the second half.

It was a deserved victory for the Millers who defended strongly and are now off the bottom of the Championship.
