MAN of the match Anthony Forde was delighted to get the job done against Oxford even though the night wasn’t as straight-forward as it might have been.
Leading 2-1 early in the second half, the Millers were forced to do plenty of defending by the plucky visitors before sealing a 3-1 win courtesy of Michael Smith’s strike.
“It was another decent performance, although we made it hard for ourselves when we went 2-0 up. We dropped off it a bit,” the winger told the Advertiser. “At the end of the day we got three points.”
Forde fired in the first of the match and also set up Smith’s goal in one of his most eye-catching displays of the season.
“I got a goal and an assist and I want to add that to my game. Playing well is great for me personally but it’s a bonus when we get three points as well,” he added.
