"I thought it was a really good game against two in-form teams.

"I knew if we could compete against Scunthorpe then we know we're taking good strides forwards.

"I'm really pleased with how we played. It wasn't a game of many chances first half. We took our first goal well from a routine.

"In the second half I thought we more than matched them and we were the stronger team.

"On another day we might have scored more."
