REACTION: Forde sees encouraging signs

ANTHONY Forde says Rotherham United’s new-found ability to win points from losing positions indicates the rising confidence throughout the side.

Today’s comeback victory over MK Dons followed a similar one at Blackpool and last week’s fightback to take a draw against Plymouth.

Wide man Forde told the Advertiser: “Before, people were saying if we concede, we’re done.  If we concede now we can come back and win games. That’s the sign of the confidence coming back into the team and we just need to keep that going into the next matches.”

The set-piece deliveries of the former Walsall man gave the team an extra attacking edge against the Dons, who were lucky to escape with only a 2-1 defeat.

Added Forde: “We played good football and we could have won by three or four if we had taken our chances. It was a great performance.

“Everyone wants a good Christmas and a win makes it even better. We’re all buzzing and hopefully we can go to Bury now on Boxing Day with loads of confidence and get another one.”
