PREVIEW: Bury better than league position suggests, says Warne

PAUL Warne is urging his Rotherham side not to take Bury lightly, despite their lowly league position.

The Millers head to Gigg Lane today on the back of Saturday's 2-1 home win over MK Dons, and Warne believes the Bury side are better than their place at the foot of the League One table suggests.

He said: "On paper their squad is very good, a lot of teams in this league would want a lot of their playrs.

"They've obviously had a change of manager, they play a different system, like a 4-2-3-1, they've got confidence in the way they're playing, but haven't got the points.

"I'm not going to sit here and say they are the best  team in the league because I don't believe they are, but their position defies their ability."

Warne's side will be hopping to extend their unbeaten run to four games at Bury, but Warne knows the task won't be easy.

He added: "Boxing Day games are great games anaywya, I think they'll be desperate to win, like we are, and I think it will be a bit toe-to-toe really."
