HEAD coach Joe Barker has praised the work put in by his colleagues as Rotherham Titans chase their first win of the National One season.
Barker says that forwards coaches Matt Smith and Christian Head have done great work with the pack since their arrival as part of the new Clifton Lane back room structure.
He was delighted with the effort put in against Darlington Mowden Park last week when the front eight matched their powerful opponents for long spells.
He said: "I think Matt and Christian have done an outstanding job with the forwards. They fronted up against a side last week that have controlled a lot of packs in this league and we really, really damaged them at times. I was really impressed with every individual.
“Darlington have a pack who’ve been together for a long time. It was our errors that allowed them to score rather than anything where they broke through and killed us."
Now Barker wants Rotherham to kick on as they face Rosslyn Park this Saturday. There's a full preview and all the analysis from last week in tomorrow's Advertiser.
