Players report back for duty as Millers look to boost numbers

Training time...it's back to work for the Millers today.

ROTHERHAM United will try to add to their numbers today as the first team squad report back for duty.

New signings Clark Robertson and Kyle Vassell, who both joined from Blackpool on Friday, will hook up with their team-mates at Roundwood and they could soon be joined by other fresh faces.

The Millers have been heavily linked with a season-long loan move for Bristol City defender Zak Vyner.

The versatile 21-year-old, who can play right-back or central defence, had a good stint at Plymouth Argyle last season and has only recently signed a new contract at Ashton Gate.

A product of the club's Academy, he's being touted as a future first-team contender and a loan spell at another Championship club is seen as beneficial to his development.

Rotherham are hoping to have goalkeeper Marek Rodak back in the fray as they get ready for their return to the Championship.

As reported in Friday's Advertiser, the Slovakian stopper needed to address his contract situation at parent club Fulham before a second season-long loan at the AESSEAL New York Stadium could be agreed.

Rotherham's build-up to the new season begins against Parkgate at Roundwood on Saturday (1pm) and they fly to Austria on Sunday for a summer training camp.
