Players can compete at top level: Maggs

NEW player-coach Kevin Maggs says Rotherham Titans have players who can compete at Premiership level.

The 35-year-old signed in at Clifton Lane this week and trained with the squad ahead of Saturday's prickly trip to Moseley.

Maggs wasn't at last week's tremendous 29-20 win over Cornish Pirates, but has assessed the match DVD with head coach Craig West and is already bristling with optimism.

He said: "From what I've seen and having spent ten weeks here at the end of last season I know what many of the lads in our squad are capable of.

"I know that some of them can play at the top level and I'm sure I can work with Craig to try and bring out the best in them."

It's great to be an exclusive interview with Kevin Maggs in Friday's Advertiser.
