PHIL Haigh on the pace at the Ladybower Trail Marathon

The Kimberworth Strider timed 4:49.45 and grabbed the MV65-69 title on an undulating course which included a very steep incline and equally steep decline section.

Caroline Saunders clocked 5:16.33.

Colin and Fiona Earl travelled up to the beautiful Lake District and did battle in the Coniston Half Marathon.

In wet and windy conditions, they ran round together and negotiated the tough undulating route in 2:17.18.

Paul Casson led the Striders home at the Doncaster Half Marathon in 1:26.32. Lee Weatherall (left) followed in 1:42.55 and Andrew Green posted 2:38.19, with the nagging headwind making things tricky for the runners.

A cancelled ferry allowed Andrew Hedison to tackle the Leanne Fund 10K in Stornoway in the Scottish Western Isles. On the hilly route and in very wet and windy conditions Andrew crossed in 48.05.

In the latest Silkstone Shuffle race Shaun Wright grabbed ninth spot in 31.50.
